Q: What If I do not meet the height requirement ?

One of the most common question I get since starting this blog is... what if I am 155cm, or what if i am 157 cm... do I stand a chance of being selected as a cabin crew?

Well, I'll be really honest... and tell you... nope.. you won't be selected.

Sometimes, when you are 157.5 or very very close, you might be subjected to a height test... but then again.. it is all dependent on the discretion of your interviewers.

So.. do you resigned to fate and let your dreams of being a stewardess die ? Well.. it really depends on how badly you want it... and like I always say... sometimes, there are things that we can do to improve our chances and there are things that we can't control.

It is a requirement that a cabin crew needs to be at least 1.58m because some of the safety and emergency equipements are in the overhead compartment... and you will need a certain height to at least acess them easily in case of emergency.

So.. there really is no 2 ways about it...

Fortunately, there are ways to increase your height, even after your puberty.

1) Stretching - Stretching helps not only during exercise, but also improve your chance to grow taller.

In fact, if you stretch every morning when you wake up, you might see an increase after sometime.

With both your hands together together, strech it backwards and tip-toed helps both psychologically and physiologically.

2) Jumping - Well... I wouldn't really consider that jumping, but rather, hopping does helps too, and that clearly explains why basketball players and volleyball players are tall.

3) Eating The Right Food - Ok, finally, it boils down to eating the right food. Do you know that our bones need phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and our muscles needs water and protein to grow ?

That is why sometimes, despite everything we do, without the right food, we do not have enough minerals to "substatiate" the growth...

Good sources of food that helps in growth includes, cheese, boiled chicken, apples, bananas, carrot, fish and of course... the most important source of life... water.

Well... I am not exactly the expert when it comes growing taller, but there are tons of information products out there in the market today that will help you counter that problem.

So... if you are thinking about growing taller... be it for the sake of chasing your dream of being a crew... or just for the sake of being taller so that you look more elegant and model like, it definetly is worth taking a look =)
